Caregiving is often 24/7. While being in the position of a caregiver it is important to give yourself a break. By giving yourself those breaks you can gain perspective on the situation and it can remind you that there is world beyond as well.

There are many types of caregivers: professional, independent, private, informal and volunteer caregivers. The most common type being a family caregiver. One thing they all have in common is the Caregivers Bill of Rights. You will be more successful are a caregiver if you learn to take care of yourself. This outlines the individuals’ rights belonging to those caring for a loved one.
