The Untold Power of Simplifying Your Life β Creating Space for What Matters Most
What if βlessβ isnβt about giving things upβbut about getting your time, energy, and attention back?
This community conversation brings together leaders in aging, health, finance, and home transition to explore how simplificationβof our environments, decisions, and long-term planningβcan cut through daily overwhelm and create more room for what actually matters: meaningful connection, clearer thinking, and a stronger sense of control over daily life.
This month, our speakers will share practical tools and real-world strategies for making life more intentional and less complicated. From the places we live in to the decisions we delay to the systems we rely on, each conversation focuses on how small shifts can make everyday life easier to navigate at every stage.
About our Program:
Room to Breathe: How Getting Your Healthcare Wishes Down Creates Space for Living
Wichita Medical Research and Education Foundation (WMREF) is proud to present this session on healthcare advance directives, believing these are one of the most powerful and most overlooked tools for simplifying your life and protecting the people you love. WMREF Community Program Coordinator Stephanie Henderson walks you through what a living will, healthcare power of attorney, and POLST actually are, why most people avoid completing them, and how having them in place brings not just medical clarity, but genuine peace of mind.

This conversation will explore how simplifying environments, routines, and everyday experiences can reduce overwhelm, improve connection, and make life easier to navigate β not only for those living with dementia or cognitive changes, but for older adults more broadly.
